Work With Us

Have a conversation with Kendra or Andy about what you want to do (or what’s going on), and how we can help.

Initial consultations are almost always free. If we’re not able to help, we’ll let you know, and we may be able to suggest someone who is a better fit.

We’ll work together to figure out how it makes sense to structure the representation, and what you need.

After we have a first conversation, we’ll write you a proposal/summary of what we think makes sense. We don’t have one model for working with clients, because we don’t have one type of client. Some of our clients engage us for a period and we handle matters as they come up, whereas others have a discrete legal problem where we write one memo and send them on their merry way. (For those who don’t work with attorneys super often, a memo is a document that lays out the relevant law and a client’s options. It’s the standard work product for lots of matters.)

We don’t have one model for fees, either. We work with clients on both project-based and hourly models, depending on the circumstances. We also take some pro bono and low bono work. Don’t let worries about money stop you from reaching out to us.

While representation is underway, we’ll keep talking.

Once we’ve created a plan, we’ll work together to make it happen. With some of our clients, that looks like standing meetings, and for others, we may just check in via email in between milestones. We try to structure our work together to incentivize collaboration and open communication. We’d always rather figure out how to minimize risk up front than find you needing our services in an emergency.

After a project, we’re still here.

Even once a project wraps up, we’re still here! We keep a broad docket because we love the cool stuff our clients get up to, and we’re here for whatever you do next.

We’d love to hear from you!

The best way to get in touch with us is email—you can shoot a note to intake@albertsellars.law, or reach out to either of us at our individual emails (listed on the team page).

Please note that contacting us does not form an attorney-client relationship. You should not share any confidential information with us until we have a chance to discuss things further.

If you just want to keep up with what we’re doing, feel free to sign up for our mailing list.
